Sometimes, god makes a calling known in the midst of a massive mess. Urgent situations often produce people of valor who can see the need of the hour and trust God enough to step forward and be used by Him. Such is the case of an ancient woman named Esther. With the threat of the destruction of her people, the Jews, Esther was the only person in the entire land who was positioned to provide a rescue. Her story walks each of us through the possibility that God might raise us up in a significant way in our own generation. You would have not picked Esther because she had no qualifications, no pedigree and no experience. Yet God picked her, and Esther gave herself fully to the assignment. In the end, an entire race of people was delivered from the hand of the enemy - all as a result of Esther’s risky and costly consecration.
